I’m so excited I finally got to read Ian’s story. I have been waiting for this story for what seems like forever!!!
Annie and Ian first meet when his father hires her to be Ian’s caretaker. Ian was hurt in a boating accident when he was a teenager and has long lasting injuries from that accident. At this point in Ian’s life, he jut wants to be left alone. He’s angry and rude and mean and has a drinking problem.

Annie and Ian’s first encounter is not a happy one. Ian is made his dad hired another caretaker and forces her to leave. When Ian’s dad gives him an ultimatum, Ian’s tells Annie to come back, but it’s not a warm welcome.

Annie needs this job, not only to help her mom out, but so she can finally move out of the house. She will stay in Ian’s house 6 days a week. That’s what a time for two people to be in a house together.

Annie and Ian start finding common ground. They are able to be civil with each other but it was still a rocky relationship. When you are under the same roof as another person all the time, sometimes feelings will emerge. This happened for both Annie and Ian. Annie knew that she could not give herself to Ian because of the state he was in. Ian knew he was not in the right state of mind to be in a relationship.

One night changes everything and that’s when Ian finally realizes that he has to change his ways.

But has too much damage been done? Can Ian show Annie he’s a different person? Or will the pain and emotions be too much to handle?
Callie hit it out of the park with this read. Annie and Ian’s story was not a fairytale. It was full of emotions and they were not always happy emotions.

This story is about battling your inner demons. It is about how you can get past tragedies but you need to lean on others and accept their help
