Blurb:
I turn trusted housewives into adulterous whores.
Let’s face it, nothing lasts forever. She may have started out as your wet dream, but now she’s your ball and chain. Let me set you free.
I’ll turn your loyal lady into a lecherous liar.
I can give you the uncontested divorce you desire, end your impending engagement, or rid you of that clingy girlfriend.
Either way, you’ll be a free man.
My name is Rift, and men pay me to have affairs with their women. It’s my job to get caught. While unethical, my profession is easy. Hell, most days it’s fun. At least until I fall for the soon-to-be ex of my newest client.
My Review:
4 Stars
Heartbreak for Hire is unlike any book I have ever read before.
Rift is hired by men to catch their wives or girlfriends cheating on them, with him, so they have an easy out of their relationship.
Being heartbroken already in his life, Rift thinks that he is doing a service to these men. If he can get their significant other to sleep with him, they were not ready for that relationship in the first place.
But everything changed when he is hired to try and sleep with Gwyn. Gwyn will be a game changer for him.
Gwyn is in a relationship she knows is not what it should be. She is trying her best to hold it together but she is having doubts. When a good looking stranger enters the picture, she finds herself being pulled in 2 different directions.
When one chance meeting turns into multiple meetings, Gywn doesn’t know what to do.
Does she follow her heart or does she do the respectable thing and stay in the relationship she has?
What happens when the truth comes out? Is there too much betrayal for forgiveness?
If you are looking for a fairly quick, contemporary romance, then this is a book for you.
Rift and Gywn are unlike any couple I have every read about.
This book is sexy and captivating.
The reason I gave the book 4 stars instead of 5 was because there is the element of cheating (to a certain extent depending on how you see the situation) in book and it wasn’t something the authors prepared you for. I know a lot of people do not like books that have cheating in them and I think they authors should have added that in the beginning.
With that being said, I do think that even if you are not a fan of cheating in book, you will understand the situation in this book.
I have read Tabatha Vargo before but this is my first Melissa Andrea book. I am going to look into more of her books in the future.
I’ve seen this book popping up recently. Thinking about giving it a try.

This is certainly a twist! Not my taste, but still sounds good all the same. I like the way the author twisted the typical affair. Great review!

Intriguing cover. I love that you’re looking through the keyhole – definitely a good example of using different perspectives to catch someone’s attention. The review was great, too! This sounds like one I will be picking up very soon 🙂
