Free Books on Amazon Today (8/5/18)

So I did something a little different today with my free books. Instead of giving you the blurb for the book, I am giving you the average rating for the book and a review for the book from Amazon. (These are not my reviews…except for one of them but I won’t say which one)

Initially I stopped reading this book because I was sure I saw where it was going and I didn’t want to confirm it. I was wrong and I’m so glad on a whim, I went back to it. This was a perfect book in that I laughed, cried and my heart ached. Those are my must have hallmarks for an amazing story. Great job to Ms. Renshaw! Can’t wait to start reading the bonus books included with it!

Eric and Pippa were adorable
July 9, 2017
I just loved this story, I really liked the interaction with all of the family, and getting to know the siblings better. Julie was such a cutie. I really liked that again they kind of agreed on just fun and found themselves in love. I loved that neither was afraid to be honest with their feelings, and drama was kept to a minimum. The ending was great, I am really looking forward to Max’s story.

More than I was expecting
January 7, 2018

This book was so much more than I what I was expecting! I thought it would be just a hot and steamy read but it goes so much further than that. Dahlia has a painful history that can’t be ignored. Lucien as her dom recognizes there is something wrong and refuses to let it set the pace in their relationship. As a result this story delves into how this couple grow together as they work out the emotional damage that has been inflicted and rooted into Dahlia’s psyche. I loved the care and attention Lucien gave to her and her ability to finally come in from out of the darkness.

Amazing!!!
May 7, 2018

Victoria (Tori) has not had an easy life. Losing her husband and daughter at just 18, she hid her feelings and moved on with life (the best she could) becoming an “Ice Queen”. As a top divorce lawyer, her hard attitude helps her be the best.
Chase is a college professor who also has a help group for people who have lost loved ones. When Tori is ordered to attend the group, Chase is knocked off his feet. This beautiful woman is lost in herself. His goal is to bring back the woman he knows is hiding inside.
They do not have an easy journey. There are tears, yelling, laughing, tears.
But Chase is also battling his own demons.
What happens when their demons cross??
This was an amazing story!! It really touched my heart and showed me its okay to move on in life after a loved one passes away.

A very cute alien story. Loved the characters and their sexual activity. The author did a awesome job with the characters, describing their emotions and feelings.

I love this author
October 12, 2017

I love this author! It’s been on my list to read all of her back titles and I’m so happy I started with this one. I loved seeing how K. Webster’s writing has developed since this story. She has really transformed over the years with respect to her writing.
Becoming Lady Thomas was a flash of a story! An all rounded, dirty, easy to read, quick read!
I liked the innocence of the main female . And the determination in the leading man. I almost wish it was a little longer and a little dirtier but this was a nice twist on a way back when romance.

A Must Read
June 26, 2018

Audrey is a phenomenal writer. Her series books are well written puzzle pieces, which fit together to form an amazing world. Her character development is beyond amazing. She covers all the details necessary to bring her stories to life. The Lotus House Series is extremely amazing. I highly recommend it. Just a warning, if you aren’t already into yoga, you will be by the end.

Amazing author, great style
June 16, 2018

As I was scrolling through the book store on my Kindle, I came across this book. I had never read anything by this author before and as a voracious reader of books, I am hooked! Jasinda Wilder has a refreshing writing style. Her characters are well described and the dialogue is current, hip and just plain wonderful! I laughed and cried unexpectedly at different parts of the book just from the way she writes. I am really looking forward on continuing this series and look into more books by this author. If you like this type of genre and writing that feels like it’s current 2018, then give this a try!

Fun!
July 29, 2018

I discovered this book through someone’s review. They were right this was a funny and fun read. The length is perfect for a plan ride. The emails were so naughty. Loved it! Ha! My favorite part was the female character and the way to she expresses herself.

Causes a huge emotional impact
June 1, 2018

How two people met when younger is skillfully revealed in TRUST FUND, and what happens to them over several years has me eagerly wanting to read their full story, SURVIVAL OF THE RICHEST. Skye Warren is an author whose stories always grab my whole interest because of engaging characters and believable plots, and this insightful prologue definitely makes it difficult to wait for more details. While the two main characters have been met before, I never knew these secrets related to their past interactions.

What’s sexier then a hot bearded mountain man?
July 27, 2018

The main character comes home after a long time away. You’ll fall in love with her family of wacky, loud, obnoxious, bearded brothers.
Things have changed a lot since she’s been home. She’s changed too. She has a hysterical encounter with one of her brother’s friends. He’s a sexy bearded viking. They hate each other. They can’t stop thinking about each other. Full of laughter and steam. A good read. Once you read this, you’ll want to read more.

Fall in love with Seaside
July 17, 2018

I loved reading about Seaside. It was a nice little place up in Cape Cod and has some real characters for sure. I love Caden and Bella’s story along with the introduction of Caden having a teenage son. It showed what another real life couple can go through.
All the antics these friends get into and the good times they have, remind me of my friends that I had growing up out at my parents cottage. It sure brought back some memories for me.
What a great read and perfect for the beach or lazying by the pool.

BDSM auction romance and intrigue
May 30, 2018

I enjoyed this BDSM story with great characters, romance and intrigue. Kimani was a 25 year old black free lance journalist from Stanford that wanted to do an expose on an auction where women were auctioned for a week. Her roommate had done it and came back with bruises. She was promised a full time position if she got the expose. She was auctioned and won by a man that bought a young virgin also. It didn’t go like she planned, but she lucked out. There wasn’t much BDSM, but there is a cliffhanger and it looks like more to come. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy.

Heartwarming Story
October 17, 2015

The beginning of the book was slightly disappointing, but that was mainly because of how Ethan was being portrayed as weak & extremely gullible. I’m happy to say that he overcame that as the book goes along, & the author used that initial angle to spin his character completely around in a positive/inspiring way. I’m glad I continued to read the rest of the book, because it was truly a refreshing change to the same or similar storylines being recycled in countless other romance novels. I enjoyed this book, its characters, the journey the characters had to take, & the oh so enjoyable ending. Great read/escape!

Amazing Sci Fi Mail Order Bride Romance
March 6, 2018

I read this book after first reading books in the other Interstellar Bride Series (The Colony and The Virgins,) so I already had a pretty good understanding of the background story. I absolutely loved this book! It was just as good as the other books I’ve read and Grace Goodwin is a new favorite author who I will always watch out for! If you like sci fi romance this series is definitely for you!

Friends to Lovers
July 7, 2018

I must have read this before, but I read it again…
Christian Davison was the type of guy Elizabeth Ayers should ever get involved with. She knows he will end up adding her to the list of girls he has hooked up with since he arrived in New York City. She is very attracted to him, but recognizes that Christian needs a friend so that is what she is determined to be to him. Just. A. Friend.
Well I guess they could try. There friendship continued to intensify and there love for one another was no longer easy to ignore. A few thing happened in between but eventually they came together. Smoking hot…

A very interesting start to the series! Not at all what I expected!
July 21, 2016

We have Dominic (Dom) and Becca at the start of this book. I find it fascinating that Dom’s actions, thoughts, and feelings are bold while Becca’s are in regular text. Dom’s office is found in a football stadium, and we find him there, looking for a drink from Johnny. Dom is a Valetti of the Valetti Crime Family. We find Becca on the way to see a bookie, to pay Rick’s debt. The first meting of Becca and Dom is funny to watch in a very awkward feeling way. What happens when she meets with Dom? The dynamic between Johnny and Dom is fun to read. Once Becca leaves with Sarah to get her child and then head off, we find the car ride spent in silence. Where did they go with her son Jax? Who are the DeLucas? What do they have to do with all this? What happens to Becca? When Dom takes a shine to Becca, things start happening that are not good, first the DeLucas, then Jack, what happens after that? Can Dom win her over and keep her safe and with him? You’re going to have to read to find out.

4.5 Stars for Tess & Logan
September 23, 2015

I really enjoyed this story. Tess and Logan had a lot of baggage but the story wasn’t all angsty and the fun backdrop of the bridesmaids dresses kept All of Me upbeat. Enjoyable and hot even with no love scenes. I’m eager to read Annie & Dylan’s story

COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN
August 4, 2018

OMG… I totally read the book in 24 hours. First off, I loved how it was a book that didn’t have more parts to it and it doesn’t go on forever! I loved Charlie and Simon and the support characters. I can’t wait to read the next book. This was my first book by Meghan that I had read. I’d listened to a series on Hoopla but I might go back and read those again. I love her writing style. Just enough details. Just enough conversations. Just enough love. I was a wonderful read!

Dynamic and Different
March 11, 2017

This book was different from the “usuals” and a very welcoming change. The usual have the young adult in the their 20’s and and describe similar to models, etc; however, this book was about a mature middle age woman 45 yrs old and size beautiful, although she sometimes doubted herself or lacked self-confidence. I loved the story and pace of the book, exciting and interesting, I couldn’t wait to finish it because it was so good, I had to get to the end. The author is a good writer the flow was excellent and I love the fact that I didn’t have to wait for ever to find out what happens next, the story flows well into each chapter. It’s great that it can be read as a stand alone or within the series, seems as though every book is part of a series now, sometimes I just want a stand alone book that has a beginning and ending in one book, this was well worth the read.

Fun read
May 28, 2018

I truly enjoyed this book. It has action and some twists that keep the story moving along. The love and sexiness are there, but above all, the characters are likeable and I found myself rooting for them along the way. This was a fun read!

Five stars ask the way!
April 21, 2017

I absolutely loved this book and the relationship between Declan and Olivia. Declan is a tall glass of yummy water! This book hooked me in from the first paragraph. It’s steamy, engaging and extremely well written with a hea and no cliffhangers. This was my first book by Vanessa but was definitely not my last. I love Vanessa’s creativity and imagination & I’ve since bought her Millionaires Row series. If you have not read this book yet, what are you waiting for? You will NOT be disappointed.

Insightful prequel novella to Grip and Bristol’s story
March 6, 2017

4.5 stars
Flow is the prequel to Grip and introduces readers to how Marlon (Grip) and Bristol met each other. It’s a quick peek into how their relationship began and the amazing chemistry they shared in those few days. I was amazed at how much was packed into these handful of chapters and how complex these characters were. On the outside, they couldn’t be more different, but underneath the layers, their souls speak to each other. There were times when I was stunned by the poetry of Kennedy Ryan’s words.
This is actually the first book/novella I have ever read by the author and I initially felt like I was missing some knowledge/history about these characters. I will admit it wasn’t until a few chapters in that I really got hooked and invested in Grip & Bristol’s story. Once I did though, I was in love and my heart pretty much got ripped from my chest with that ending. Thankfully, I can dive right into Grip. 😉 Definitely recommend this prequel novella!

A HEARTBREAK IS A HEARTACHE
May 1, 2016

I found this book to be a wonderful book for the NA [New Adult] romance genre as it show its young readers that life, more over that love is not all that they image it is. While it might be wonderful at first there’s a possibility it might end all of a sudden for a reason which could be hard for young girls to understand especially if this has been their first true love. Given the young age of the protagonist, chances are that the wound created by her first affair will take a long time to heal, if ever; thereby creating an important life lesson for when she matures as a real woman.
As I read this book I couldn’t help but hear Bonnie Tyler’s song from 1977, It’s a Heartache, playing in my mind. If you’re not familiar with this song check it out You Tube, and if you do, you’ll probably agree with me that a HEARTBREAK is a HEARTACHE.

A cute New Adult novella
January 17, 2016

A college freshman finds herself falling for the owner of a local bookstore who has issues with their age difference.
The hero and heroine in FIRST TO FALL aren’t your usual NA couple. Alyssa is a college freshman with a passion for books and Kyle is about ten years older and owns a bookstore. He’s kind of jaded and his attraction to this spunky younger woman sets off all sorts of alarms for him. His continual angst over their growing relationship can get a little annoying at times. But the bookstore setting is believable and the author uses it and events surrounding it to effectively to bring the characters together. Alyssa also has an interesting group of friends–good material for future novellas in this planned series.
For a novella there’s plenty of character and plot. It escapes most of the cliches that can undermine New Adult books. I plan to read the other books in the series.

Fun clash of modern and hippie
April 16, 2018

I really got sucked into this book mostly because of its two main characters. I couldn’t stop flipping through and wondering what will happen next. Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen I was surprised how off I was. Definitely will be looking into other stories in the Sugar Rush series.

Read in one sitting….can’t wait to read the rest of this series!
March 6, 2017

Wow! Skye found her calling. I’m so impressed by this new author! I can see this series going so far. I love it and can’t wait to read the rest of the books! Avery’s life has had some major changes and I can’t wait to see her develop into one of my favorite characters. I can see her getting jealous and having her intellect get her into trouble with her buyer.
