From the Ashes and Covet

From the Ashes – Novella

Blurb:

I dance to forget, but I always remember
I taunt and tease, it’s why they’re here
The spotlights, the sleek silver pole
The stage is mine, I own the crowd
Until he walked in
Dark eyes pierce me
A devilish smirk scorches me
Memories brand me
One night was all I gave him
One night wasn’t what he wanted
Was it fate? Was it destiny?
Only time will tell…
It’s time to rise…
From the Ashes.
*This is a dark romance and is for mature audiences only. Contains explicit scenes intended for adults 18 + Includes MFFM and FMFM scenes.

My Review: 4 stars

So this novella was hot and steamy and sexy.
Skyla works at a night club, Inferno. An elite club for the rich. And she has no problems with it. Why? Because here she is able to make her own decisions here. Able to decide what she wants to do and what she doesn’t want to do.
And Skyla hasn’t always had that option in life.
There was a time in her life when she was “Caged” and not able to make her own choices.
Kael is an artist but that hasn’t always been his life.
His life has been dark. Helping with the family business has been what he knew for most of his life.
But now that he’s out, he is on his own.
When his brother invite him to Inferno for the night, he knows he shouldn’t but he does anyway.

What happens when Kael sees someone from her past?
What happens when she doesn’t recognize him?
What happens when he tell her the truth?
Will she be able to handle it or will it undo her?

This book does end with a cliff hanger.

There are some very dark BDSM scenes in his book.

Overall I enjoyed this novella. Now to read the next book to see how it ends.

Covet

Blurb:

I fell in love with the monster. And now we covet the forbidden.

Kael
Born into a lineage I despise.
I was given the fiery phoenix to tame.
I shouldn’t want her.
But she made me feel something I never expected.
She forced me to love.

Paige
Sold. Trained. Broken.
I didn’t want to be owned,
But I didn’t have a choice when I met my Wolfe.
I shouldn’t love him.
However there’s nothing that can stop me.
He covets me as much as I do him.

*This is a dark romance, suitable for mature audiences. From the Ashes – A Prequel needs to be read first.

My Review: 3 stars

This is the rest of Kael and Skyla (Paige)’s story that started in From the Ashes.
You learn about what Paige went to when she was at Caged.
You learn what caused Kael to change his ways.
You learn how they lived life after until they found each other again and what happened after.

This book has some really, really dark scenes in it. Like crazy dark and it is not for everyone. And it also has some really hot scenes.

The reason I gave this book 3 stars instead of 4 was because I felt it dragged on a bit too much.

But overall, I still enjoyed the book!
