My Review: 4 stars

I was a bit surprised I enjoyed this book as much as I did.

This book is told from two main POV’s and then a few others along the way.

Zell has been locked in a penthouse for years. Once she turned 12, she never went outside again. Her mom said it was for her safety.

Zell know nothing else but the life she has. She knows things aren’t right but there is nothing she can do about it. She lives with other girls, older girls, but she doesn’t exactly know what they do.

Frankie wants nothing to do with the life his dad leads. He wants to move away and go to college. He wants a life that does not involve crime and drugs.

Frankie and Zell (now 17) meet when he is brought to the penthouse Zell lives in. He is told to choose a girl for his 18th birthday. He choose Zell. But he is not like the other men who come into the penthouse.

Frankie and Zell make a connection and he is determined to save her.

But can he? He is only 18. His dad is powerful. Can he do it?

This was a good story. I enjoyed the story line. I enjoyed the plot. I enjoyed the plot twist.
